“Your writings are wonderful and they are a great help to me as a teacher of English as a foreign language. I was about to present a presentation about vocabulary and I read your article about How to Teach ELLs Vocabulary and it gave me more ideas that I could use them to convey my view smoothly especially, about “ways to make vocabulary learning interesting.” I even gave my colleagues copies of this article to lead their steps in teaching vocabulary.”

“I just wanted to stop by and thank you for helping us make our ONE DAY event a success. We had more schools than ever participate and we would like to think that your blogsite had something to do with that. We are so happy that your readers could be exposed to our organization!”

Hello,
My name is Kristen and I just wanted to take a moment out of my day to thank you for your dedication to education. I came across your website as I was researching seating charts. As a student who has passed all requirements to becoming a teacher except for the last year of school….I feel as though I have discovered a gold mine. Thank you for the free book on classroom management. This is my biggest fear, because as I observe classrooms, I see SO MUCH TIME wasted on classroom management. Imagine all of the learning that could take place without all of the constant interuptions!!! Anyway, I look forward to further exploring your website and feel as though it is a supplement to my education.
Thank you,
~Kristen Simmons

Dear Dorit,
Thank you for creating your website. I have printed a lot of material out and have started my own 3-ring binder for New Teachers and also material/Lesson plans for Language Arts. It’s a wonderful website you have, easily understood, and very helpful. Hopefully, one day we will meet.

I have spent some time reading your article and I signed up for the newsletter. What a valuable website!! I just finished my first year as a new teacher. I wished I would had found your website earlier. You have so many resources out there. I read a few articles and just browsed. Everything seems to be geared towards me and my needs. There were articles that I was so excited to read and gave me tools I can actually use. I’ve been reading other books to help guide me to be a better teacher. What I like about your website is how you have it set up and organized. I can find what I need quickly and can use. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful and valuable website for new teachers like myself.

I would like to say thank you for your reports. All of them are of invaluable help for me. In Report #42 “Authentic Instruction – the FUN Way to Help Students Learn!” I have found what I have always been interested in and looking for - excellent techniques for introducing new vocabulary, songs, reading skills, numbers. This is very handy, simple, full of creative ideas. Your step by step instructions help me understand how I can turn something dull and boring into a successful, interesting activity that will engage my learners where the process of learning becomes much more enjoyable and learners are better motivated. That is great.

Report #46 “Make More than a Plan – Make a Checklist for Your Teaching Success!” helped me successfully organize and improve my lesson plans.
This report helped me realize that checklists are really important issues, one of the keys ideas which should not be neglected if I want to become a better teacher. –Mark Liszka, Poland
Report #48, “Conquer Classroom Management Using Simple Systems for Success!” provided tips in a really simple way together with many ideas on how to organize classroom time and lesson organization much more effectively. It also reassured me of many doubts and helped me to think how to make and run my lessons in a much more, smooth, relaxed, self-confident way in the future. Now, I will feel much more at ease with teaching.

Dorit,
Just want to let you know I appreciate your suggestions. I use many of them — I don’t read them as fast as I was, when I was feeling more “desperate” last year -I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress and I’ve incorporated many new strategies which are helping to streamline my teaching, classroom management and evaluation. I do like your common sense approach and enjoy passing on the “gifts” to the English teachers. I teach French, but can often adapt ideas to suit my kids. I’m creative and can think of good lesson plans, but classroom management is my toughest challenge. Thanks for your help!
